Who we are
We are a church that is passionate about the presence of God.
As Moses said in Exodus 33:15,
“If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here.” Everything we do as a church needs to be birthed out of the presence of God… from our Sunday gatherings, to our Connect Groups and Discipleship growth track, the presence of God is our prize, and without it what is the point?
We believe you will meet Jesus when you come to Every Nation Slough.
What kind of Church are we?
Every Nation Slough is a place of:
Encounter – we want people to encounter the presence of God
Equipping – we want people to be equipped to follow Jesus
Sending – we want people to be sent with the gospel
WHY DO WE EXIST?
Our Mission is what we do:
Glorify God, make disciples, make a difference.
Our Vision is what we want to see:
God coming near, the church coming alive, the lost coming to Jesus… in Slough as it is in heaven.
Our values
- Lordship – everything is under God’s authority
- The Bible – this is the foundation upon which we build
- The Presence of God – we desire, pursue and create space for the presence of God in everything we do
- The Goodness of God – this shapes our theology
- Spirit empowered – we need and rely on the Holy Spirit to be effective and fruitful
- Worship – ushers in God’s presence, it changes the atmosphere and we believe it is an effective spiritual weapon
- Prayer – all of life and ministry is birthed and sustained in the power of prayer
- Prophetic culture – we embrace and value prophecy and all of the spiritual gifts
- Surrender – yielding to the Holy Spirit is our starting point for relationship with God, each other and in ministry
- Miracles – are for us now and we will pursue the miraculous
- Family – we’re children first – everything we do flows from a place of identity as kids in His house and therefore all are welcome to find family with us
- Discipleship – Jesus called us to make disciples and help one another to follow Him more faithfully – “discipleship is relationship”
- Leadership – we want to identify, raise, equip and send ‘home grown’ leaders to advance the Kingdom of God
- Evangelism – we engage our culture and community to preach the gospel and make disciples
- Nations – we love all nations and long to see them celebrated in our family and reached with the gospel
